Join Our Summer Hair Care + Self-Esteem Group for BIPOC Kids
Rooted in You is a 5-week summer group for BIPOC kids (ages 7–10) focused on cultural pride, hair care, identity, and emotional expression.
We’ll decorate bonnets and durags, make DIY hair masks, watch Hair Love, journal, create art, and build connection — all in a joyful space where your child is seen, celebrated, and supported.
Program Details
Who:
Black and Brown Youth with textured hair between the ages of 7 and 11 years old. Hair can be in any style while engaging in the group.
When:
Sundays from 1PM - 4PM
Where:
Asheville, NC | All details will be given to those that sign up.
Dates:
June 22 | June 29
July 6 | July 13
July 20
Final Week:
Includes a special parent showcase and expert panel.
Food:
Food and drinks will be provided for youth every week.
Total Cost:
$60/week or $300 total
